Acrylic on Canvas
Hot Cop is exactly what it looks like. A ridiculously sexy sheriff stands in his underwear smoking a cigarette and posing beside his completely destroyed police car like absolutely nothing is wrong.
Meanwhile, everything is wrong.
The car is wrecked. There are cans sitting on the hood. Something is leaking everywhere. There is literally a person underneath the car. Whatever happened before this scene was clearly a complete disaster, but our sheriff does not seem particularly concerned about any of it.
He has the hat. He has the star. He has the sunglasses. He has the muscles. And apparently that is enough.
I love making characters who are completely disconnected from the ridiculous situations happening around them. Everyone else might look at this scene and see a catastrophe. He looks at it and apparently sees a photo opportunity.
There could be something deeper in there about authority, confidence, and looking like you know what you are doing when you absolutely do not.
But mostly, I just wanted to paint a hot cop in tiny yellow underwear.
Sometimes confidence is just standing next to the disaster like you had nothing to do with it.
